Getting the info to the customer
When you make a sale, you have to decide how you will deliver your info product to your customer. There are several ways that you can do this.
- Old-fashioned paper: You can spiral-bind your info product that you print out on your own printer or copy on a copying machine. Places like Office Depot, Office Max, and Kinko’s will bind your pages to create a nice looking document. You also have the option of putting the pages into an inexpensive binder. Keep in mind that your shipping costs will eat into your profit by doing it this way. Plus, in this day and age, people usually expect INSTANT results and probably won’t want to wait for shipping.
- CD: you can mail CD’s.. The files must be saved as PDF’s on the CD so that everyone may access them, regardless of what kind of computer they have.
- Downloads: Remember, you must save your info as a PDF to do this. The downloadable files must be stored on a secure place within your website. If you use PayPal, Clickbank or 1 shopping cart.com (more on these next), then you can automatically send your customers to the downloading page upon successful checkout.
On my website, shuttermom.com, I offer my gold package as a CD only. I have found this to be the easiest and most economical way to deliver my package.
